Ash Seed

I have really enjoyed working on this piece. This sculpture is one of a series of habitat sculptures I am working on that celebrate and focus on the beauty of wood decay.

Name: Ash Seed, Corruptio est vita (decay is life)

Medium: spalted Ash wood

featuring grains and characteristics that instil rustic charm into your interior or exterior space, with no two sculptures being the same.

Due to the nature of timber products, each sculpture will have its own character and imperfections. Sometimes cracks and splits can be present or appear over time. This is in no way a fault and should be expected giving each products its individual charm. Over time the colour may change giving the sculpture its own unique patina.

Sculptures can be treated with "Osmon420 oil" to give a deep and rich colour. To maintain an oiled finnish it is recommended that the sculpture is oiled twice a year in accordance with "Osmo oil" guidance.
